Seems that even in this modern era of computers that the typing skills have been on the decline. Smaller computers such as IPad (which are a computer), do not require users to type in the same manner. However most work environments do not hand out tablets for their employees in most cases.
So why not learn to type using a more traditional format. It just might actually help you out someday. After all I don't thinks computers as a whole will be going anywhere soon.
